Chester County ACTION is a conservative, pro-life organization committed to improving grassroots politics in Chester County. Our mission is to promote candidates and causes consistent with the Judeo-Christian tradition. Chester County ACTION is a political action committee duly chartered under the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is open to all who wish to join.
We held our inaugural breakfast in January 2003. Since then we have been steadily gaining in membership. Our goal is to educate voters and to encourage conservatives to get involved in the political process. We are confident that when voters understand the whole story, we can prevail.
Our challenge is formidable however. For over four years, a different organization has been working against the values we hold so dear. As a result, this group has targeted conservative, pro-life committee people for their seats on the local Republican Committee. Unfortunately, several conservative committee people lost their positions.
We know that the endorsement of the local Republican Party is extremely powerful in Chester County. Consequently, it is important to have an organization that will recruit and train conservative, pro-life people to get involved in the political process. We have modeled our organization after a very successful group started in Lancaster County.
Living in Chester County, we are located near the heart of America's revolutionary experiment. When our forefathers met in neighboring Philadelphia, they recognized for the first time the inalienable rights we have come to take for granted. With a strong commitment to liberty and religious freedom, they built a moral foundation that inspires democracies across the world. William Penn himself referred to Pennsylvania a ''Holy Experiment.'' And when General George Washington led his army through the harsh winter at Valley Forge, he sought protection in the divine providence. Later at Gettysburg, our forefathers affirmed their oath to liberty and freedom for all.
Now is the time to restore those founding principles. God, family and country - We are duty bound to them all to repair any fissures in the foundation of our great Republic. Chester County ACTION needs your help to encourage conservatives to get involved in grassroots politics and make a difference in the candidates selected for office throughout the county.
