| What is Chester County ACTION? | ||||||||||||||||
|
Our Pennsylvania heritage is unique among the states in
its history of liberty, religious freedom, and strong moral
base as its foundation. William Penn called the Commonwealth a "Holy Experiment." General George Washington
and his troops sought divine Providence at Valley Forge.
Philadelphia's Independence Hall witnessed the hammering out of the hallowed documents of our nation's
founding. And the blood-soaked soil of Gettysburg is
testimony to the price paid for our liberties...liberties our
forefathers sought to secure for succeeding generations.
We desire to preserve this great heritage for future
generations and are willing to work and pray hard for
God's wisdom and blessings. Can we do any less?
Eighteen years ago, in Lancaster County, a group of concerned citizens joined together to promote the election of men and women to local, state, and national offices who supported the Judeo-Christian principles upon which this nation was founded. Through education and motivation, their organization became successful in electing like-minded candidates. Upon witnessing their success and sharing their principles and their concerns, a similar group of Chester County residents formed Chester County ACTION in January, 2003. ACTION in Motion Educate

What do we believe?
|
"We electors have an important constitutional power placed in our hands; we have a check upon two branches of the legislature. . . It becomes necessary to every [citizen] then, to be in some degree a statesman: and to examine and judge for himself. . .the. . .political principles and measures. Let us examine them with a sober. . .Christian spirit." ---John Adams | |||||||||||||||
| Government, like clocks, go from the motion men give them; and as governments are made and moved by men, so by them they are ruined too. Wherefore governments rather depend upon men, than men upon governments. Let men be good, and the government cannot be bad. . .But if men be bad, the government (will) never (be) good. ---William Penn | ||||||||||||||||

| In selecting men for office, let principle be your guide, regard not the particular sect or denomination of the candidate - look to his character. ---Noah Webster | If decent people do not like the way politicians behave, they should either get into politics or refrain from complaining about anything politicians do. ---Teddy Roosevelt | |||||||||||||||
